Boingers get off Schneid with win over Team Pound
After making the finals last session, Billy and the Boingers had a rough start to the winter 2006 session going just 0-2-1. This would all change Sunday night though, against the team the lost to in the finals, when Billy and the Boingers pulled off a 4-2 upset. The 1st period looked like Team Pound was going to run away with the game after starting the first 5 minutes with just 4 players and scoring the first goal (Brett Sobotka G, Brent Saatoff A). But, with the chips down, a break came the Boingers way in a redirection off of Team Pound's defenseman Brent Saatoff's foot to even the score at 1-1 going into the half. In the 2nd, the Boingers fell behind again off of a goal from Tony Dreibus (assist Brett Sobotka), but shear determination put three unanswered goals on the board for Billy and the Boingers (Steve Anderson G,A; Mark Thomas G, A; Brian Karre G).
