1st Place Teams Battle To A Draw

The two first place teams, Angry Beavers and Team Pound, clashed on Sunday but with nothing decided in a 1-1 tie. The game started out with one of the quickest goals in recent league history with the Angry Beaver's Kevin French rifling one home in the first 45 seconds from the top slot past netminder Pete Wetzel after faking a pass to Andy "Old Balls" Bradfield. Team Pound would battle back though, after stopping a break-away chance by the Beavers Brady Murphy, Team Pound's Todd Miller, playing in his last game, took it the length of the ice from a feed pass from Tony Dreibus. Todd split the defense and slammed home a shot in the upper right corner of the net. The ball had to be checked for cracks after that blistering shot.

The game would continue with scoring chance after scoring chance from both teams. Once one team seemed to have the momentum and kept it in the offensive zone, the exact opposite would happen and the momentum would go the other way. The only thing bad about this game was that it had to end. And with that end, no team came out the better; 1st place is still in a tie between the Angry Beavers and Team Pound.
