Early Goals for Team Pound Hold Up in Championship Rematch

Last session, two defensive juggernauts faced off in the championship game to a 2-0 win for Team Pound over Billy and the Boingers. No pep talk was needed for this night, having a score to settle, the Boingers came out for blood and looked to score early. With early pressure on Team Pound, they responded by deflecting that intensity and scoring two goals of their own. Team Pound's Tony Dreibus and Trent Huebner were able to put the Pound up by a couple of goals early in the first. The game would become a defensive chess match, much like the championship game. In this match, however, Billy and the Boingers were able to get a late goal by Steve Renner in the second and then brought the house as they tried to tie it up. A strong and skilled defense for Team Pound was able to kill the clock as Team Pound came away with a 2-1 victory.
