Beavers Get Down and Angry With First Win
With a sellout crowd of almost 30 people, the Angry Beavers avenged their last place finish last season with a 2-0 win over the Beer Heads. The crowd cheer was equal for both sides as the noise was deafening like a NFL playoff match which made it virtually impossible for teams to call audibles. Even so, Ross Frank of the Angry Beavers was able to rocket home a blister from the point off of a pass from Andy Bradfield. This score would hold up for much of the game as the play would go back in forth over the center line. In the middle of the second period, Angry Beaver forward Eric Paisley was able to add on another tally to put the Beavers up by two. The Beer heads, however, mounted a late effort down in the Beavers zone and created a couple of one-on-one chances that were ultimately cleared away.
