Billy and the Boingers Return to Championship Form
Starting off a session 0-2-1 must be a good thing. Because that's what Billy and the Boingers did before they turned on the afterburners, took 2nd place in the session, and won outright the championship of the 2006 Winter Session. The lone goal in this heavily defensive match came from the Boinger's long time team captain Steve Anderson off of a pass from rookie Steve Svendsen (Green Helmet Dude). But even with a strong defense, the Angry Beavers had the best offense in the regular session and with a line up of Brady Murphy, Steve Galeski, and Andy Bradfield, a one goal lead is as good as a certain DVD without any picture (inside joke for those who celebrated at Tiger Toms after the games). With beautiful feeds after beautiful feeds, these three were able to put on some amazing scoring chances at Steve Young (goaltender for the Boingers). Steve, though, was up to the challenge and turned aside each chance as he secured the victory and the championship for his team.
