Peter and the Pounders Plug Away for First Victory of the Season
What looked like to be a merciful end to a terrible season, Team Pound mustered just enough goals to edge the Beerheads 3-2. After being down by an early goal from a Michigan fan (Cary "I like crappy teams" Durbin) of the Beerheads, the Pound's team captain Trent Huebner rallied almost immediately to tie the game. Recent father Brett Sobotka of the Pound added on to that to take the lead right before half. Early in the 2nd, the Beerheads tied it up off of a rebound save right to the scoring-machine Eric Kamin who put in the easy goal. It wasn't until the last minute in the game where Trent took matters into his own hands and scored late to put the Pound ahead for good. The Beerheads will face off with the Angry Beavers in the 2nd game while Team Pound will play Billy and the Boingers in the 1st.
