Team Pound Shuts Out Opponent While Having No Subs

Having the Omaha Broomball first game in three weeks, Team Pound had to face the adversities of rustiness as well as having no substitutes on their bench in Sunday's contest against the Angry Beavers. Even with these woes, Team Pound was able to edge out the Beavers 2-0 and holding Offensive Juggernaut Andy Bradfield at bay. At first, it seemed like a matter of time until the Angry Beavers would put up the first score after Bradfield rang one off the post and Mike "The Rook" Mollner had a point-blank shot robbed from him. All of this changed however, when Tony Driebus fed a pass to Trent Huebner in which Trent was able to blast one in from the blue line.

In the 2nd Period, Team Pound was able to tack on another goal from team scoring leader Brett Sobotka from Tony Driebus. However, it looked like the momentum was going to turn in the favor of the Beavers after a penalty shot was stopped from Tony Driebus. Andy Bradfield and Brady Murphy came in on a fast break only to be later denied by Team Pound's rookie defenseman Morgan.

With this win, Team Pound takes 1st place while the Angry Beaver's fall into a tie at 2nd place with the Beer Heads.
