Lone Goal Decides Game In Favor Of Team Pound

On a Sunday that defied all odds, Philadelphia Eagles actually winning a Conference Championship, two more anomalies was added to the mix: Team Pound scored a goal and Brett Sobotka scored it. While one could argue that Brett has two goals this session (one kicked into his own net), he pulled ahead of the pack and has the only goal for Team Pound this season as he had a shot that rang in off of Beer Head's goaltender Mike Parks' foot. Just to reiterate a point: Brett Sobotka Has More Goals Than Trent Huebner Does. :-)

In the 2nd half, the Beerheads poured on the offense with sustained pressure and two breakaway shots by Chris Clem. But with strong defense and pretty-boy goaltender Pete "The Mason" Wetzel, Team Pound was able to stay off a goal and end up with a 1-0 victory.

With this win, Team Pound ties it up with DeathTongue at 2nd place and the Beerhead's fall to last place.
