Tight Defense Gives Sally's Win

In a nail-bitter, the Fighting Sally's came away with at 2-0 win over Death Tongue. With scoring opportunities from Tom Baker and Brian Karre, the game could have easily swung the other way. Goals came from Bob Haniszewski and Trent Huebner (assist Gabe Gargano) in each period respectively. Tom Baker had a one-on-one chance late in the game to try to rally the Tongue when Sally goaltender Pete Wetzel was able to get a kick save to deflect it out. With a pelting of shots from the Sally's goaltender of the Death Tongue Steve Young made some "highlight reel" saves as well.

Game Note: Death Tongue Center Brian Karre was unable to score a goal on a early point-blank chance and officially declared Sally Goaltender Pete Wetzel to be his daddy. Adoption papers are being signed today. :-)

Other Note: Spellcheck was used on this recap.
