Close Defense Yields Nads Victory 1-0
In a game dominated by defense, the Nads came out with a 1-0 win. With each team having equal shots at 13, the goalies Mike Parks (Nads) and Steve Young (Death Tongue) put on a show leaving no visible part of the goal open. In the end, it was an over aggressive play for Young that lead the game's only goal by Chris Clem with an assist by Eric Kamin. Parks records a shutout as both teams are in the death-grip battle for 2nd place.
Note: Brian "Merriam-Webster" Karre of the Death Tongue, still miffed from the dramatic save by Pete Wetzel of the Fighting Sally's made on him from Week 4, was not contacted to proof-read this recap. :-)
