Tongue Winning Streak is Shutout by Sallys 5-0
With the Tongue on a 2-game winning streak, they powered in confidently against the seemingly unbeatable Fighting Sally's. For the first five minutes, the Tongue seamed to have the blueprint for dismantling the insurmountable Sally's by keeping the ball inside the offensive zone and hammering scoring chance after scoring chance. Then, lead by team captain Trent Huebner, the Sally's rebounded to score 4 goals in the first period (Trent: three goals and a assist, Bob Haniszewski: goal, and Brett Sobotka: assist). The second period continued to be dominated by the Sally's when John Willis scored an unassited goal. With this shutout, Sally goaltender Pete Wetzel ties his mentor Death Tongue goalie Steve Young with 2 shutouts.
